How it works
Every tool on DawgToolz runs 100% client-side using browser JavaScript APIs. When you upload a file, it stays on your device. It is never transmitted to a server, stored in a database, or seen by anyone other than you.
This is made possible by modern browser APIs like the File API, HTML Canvas, and libraries like pdf-lib and PDF.js.
Why free?
These tools are simple enough to run in the browser without any server infrastructure. There's no expensive processing cost, so there's no need to charge for them. The goal is to build genuinely useful tools that anyone can use without jumping through hoops. The site is kept running by ads - unobtrusive ones, nothing that gets in the way of using the tools.
More tools coming
The plan is to keep expanding the toolset: merge PDF, compress PDF, image conversion, text utilities, and more. If there's a simple task you do repeatedly and wish there was a clean free tool for, that's the kind of thing DawgToolz wants to be.
