Move files up and down until the sequence matches how you actually rode them. Each file shows its distance and point count.
Check for gaps
If two consecutive files are more than a kilometre apart, the tool warns you, which usually means the order is wrong.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. Files are joined end to start in the order shown, so the last point of one becomes the neighbour of the first point of the next. Getting it wrong produces a long straight line jumping between locations, which is why the tool warns when consecutive files are far apart.
The merge still works. Points from files that lack elevation are written with a height of zero so the arrays stay aligned; if you want a consistent profile, run the result through the elevation fixer afterwards.
Yes. Waypoints from every file are carried into the merged result.
There is no fixed limit. Everything runs in your browser, so very large files or a great many at once are limited only by your device memory.
You can, but the result will double back on itself where they overlap and the total distance will count that section twice. Merging works best for tracks that genuinely follow one another.
